Bentonville Trail Guide & Rules
-
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a filled water bottle (21oz - 25oz), appropriate riding shoes (flat pedals are standard), appropriate riding clothes, knee pads, gloves, and sunglasses for comfort on the trails. Riders must be 18+ (or with a legal guardian), provide a valid ID, and sign our digital waiver.
-
Where are e-bikes allowed in Bentonville?
Class 1 E-Mountain Bikes are permitted on most major mountain bike trails in the Bentonville area, including the Slaughter Pen, Coler Preserve, and most single-track in the OZ Trails network.
-
What is the "Right of Way" on the trails?
Bentonville trails are multi-use. Yield to hikers and runners. When encountering other riders, downhill riders yield to uphill climbers. Always give a friendly "Hello" or use a bell when passing.
-
What should I know about trail conditions?
"Respect the Dirt." If it has rained recently, check the Bentonville Parks & Rec or OZ Trails social media for closures. Riding on muddy trails causes "rutting" that can permanently damage the local ecosystem.
